Operating Fuel System
Transferring Fuel from Trailer to Machinery
1. On level ground near machinery to be
refueled, set truck parking brake and chock
trailer wheels on both sides.
2. Open all valves on the fuel manifold (FIG
10.1) that correspond to tanks you wish
to dispense diesel fuel from. Other valves
(controlling tanks with different diesel types)
should remain closed.
IMPORTANT
In order to maintain correct weight distribution
on the trailer, all manifold valves of the same die-
sel type you want to dispense should be opened.
If all tanks contain the same diesel type, then all
valves on the manifold should be open.
3. Remove diesel fuel tank fill cap on machinery
to be refueled.
4. Unwind diesel fuel hose (with green nozzle)
from diesel fuel reel (FIG 10.2) and insert
nozzle in machinery’s diesel fuel tank. Do NOT
yet depress nozzle trigger or lock it in OPEN
position.
5. Open main diesel fuel valve (FIG 10.3).
