Auxiliary Cable
If the unit is configured with auxiliaries, they are connected by
12-pin connectors. For four auxiliaries these connectors,
labeled J201, J401, J601 and J801 (OUT 2, OUT 4, OUT 6 and
OUT 8) respectively, are located in the front of the PCB (see
OP0065 or OP0066 for four and eight auxiliaries,
respectively). For eight auxiliaries these connectors are
labeled J101 to J801 (OUT 1 to OUT 8). OP0065 and OP0066
list the pin designations from the receiver to the auxiliary and
provides space for the installer to record the pinouts for the
specific installation.
Before Starting:
1. Check power line to verify the power is off.
2. Open the receiver and find the auxiliary connectors located
on the PCB in the front of the unit with the power switch in
the upper left corner (see Figure 1 or OP0064, OP0065 or
OP0066). They are labeled J201, J401, J601 and J801
(OUT 2, OUT 4, OUT 6 and OUT 8), respectively.
Wiring:
3. Pass the wire through the bushing to the auxiliary
connector. Do not tighten bushing.
4. Crimp the enclosed pins to the ends of the auxiliary wires.
For steps 5, 6 and 7 refer to OP0065 or OP0066 for pinouts.
5. Insert the Hot wire of the auxiliary into the pin location for
the appropriate auxiliary action and voltage.
6. Insert the Return wire of the auxiliary into the pin location
for the appropriate auxiliary voltage.
7. Repeat steps 3 through 6 for each auxiliary.
8. Remove any excess cable and tighten the bushing.
Note: Do not connect the 24 VAC Auxiliary Commons to the
line VAC Commons.
Preposition Cable
The connections to the Pan/Tilt units are with 9-pin connectors
labeled J1 to J8 on the upper board (see OP0094). If the unit is
configured for four auxiliaries, use OP0095. If eight
auxiliaries are used, no presets are allowed.
Before Starting:
1. Check power line to verify the power is off.
Wiring:
2. Pass the wire through the bushing to the Preposition
connector. Do not tighten bushing.
3. Crimp the enclosed pins to the ends of the Pan/Tilt and
Lens servo wires.
Pan/Tilt Servo:
4. Insert the Pan (Wiper) wire of the Pan/Tilt unit into the pin
location for Pan.
5. Insert the Tilt (Wiper) wire of the Pan/Tilt unit into the pin
location for Tilt.
6. Insert the Focus (Wiper) wire of the Lens unit into the pin
location for Focus.
7. Insert the Zoom (Wiper) wire of the Lens unit into the pin
location for Zoom.
8. Insert the Servo (+) wire of the Pan/Tilt unit into the pin
location for (+) REF.
9. Insert the Servo (-) wire of the Pan/Tilt unit into the pin
location for (-) REF.
Note: (+) and (-) REF are direction indicators. The definition
of direction is different among manufacturers. Reversed
connections will cause the Pan/Tilt of the lens to act
erratically. Reversing the (+) REF and the (-) REF will correct
the problem.
10. Insert the Pan/Tilt Shield of the Pan/Tilt unit into the pin
location for Shield.
11. Insert the Lens Shield of the Lens unit into the pin location
for Shield.
12. Remove any excess cable and tighten the bushing.
