INSTALL THE CASE
IN THE WINDOW (cont.)
Adjust the leveling bolts and nuts against the
outside wall so that the case has a slight tilt
to the outside. T
ighten nuts with an adjustable
wrench. Use a level; about a 1/2 bubble will
be the correct case slant to the outside.
Use a wood block (obtained locally) between
the leveling bolts and the wall if the wall is
weak or if the weight of the air conditioner
falls between the studs in the wall.
Extend the left and right accordion panels
to the vertical window sashes. Drill pilot
holes and attach the top and bottom corners
with 4 type D screws.

type D s crew s , one on each s ide.
Cut the foam top w indow gas ket to the
w indow w idth.
Stuff the foam betw een the glas s and the
w indow to prevent air and ins ects from
getting into the room .
