Failure to follow the safety warnings and instruc-
tions may result in electric shock, fire and/or seri-
ous injury. Keep all safety warnings and instruc-
tions for future reference.
1. These safety instructions only apply to lithi-
um-ion batteries. Use the battery only in the
manufacturer’s products. This is the only way
to protect the battery against dangerous over-
loading.
2. Charge the batteries in the charger recom-
mended by the manufacturer. A charger that is
suitable for a certain type of battery has a risk of
fire if used with other batteries.
3. The battery is supplied partially charged. To en-
sure full battery capacity, fully charge the bat-
tery in the charger before using it for the first
time.
4. Keep all batteries out of the reach of children.
5. Do not open a battery. There is a risk of a short
circuit.
6. Vapours may escape if the battery is damaged
and used incorrectly.
7. The battery may start to burn or explode. En-
sure a supply of fresh air and seek medical at-
tention if you have any problems. Vapours may
irritate the respiratory tract.
8. Flammable liquid may leak from the battery
if used incorrectly or the battery is damaged.
Avoid contact with it. In case of accidental
contact, rinse the area with water. In addition,
seek medical attention if fluid gets in your eyes.
Leaking battery fluid can cause skin irritation
and burns.
9. A defective battery can leak fluid, which can
splash onto surrounding components. Check
these components. Clean or replace if neces-
sary.
10. Do not short-circuit the battery. Make sure
that there are no paper clips, coins, keys, nails,
screws or other small metal objects near the
unused battery that could cause the contacts to
jump. A short circuit between the battery con-
tacts may result in burns or fire.
11. Pointed objects, such as nails or screwdriv-
ers, or external forces can damage the battery.
A short circuit may occur internally, and the bat-
tery may start to burn, leak smoke, explode, or
overheat.
12. Never service damaged batteries. Batteries
should only be serviced by the manufacturer or
an authorized service facility.
13. Protect the battery from heat, such as direct
sunlight, fire, dirt, water and moisture. There is
a risk of explosion and short circuit.
14. Use and store the battery only at ambient tem-
peratures from −20°C to +50°C.
15. Do not leave the battery lying in a car, for ex-
ample in the summer. At temperatures <0°C,
specific performance limitations may occur.
16. Only charge the battery at an ambient temper-
ature of 0°C to + 45°C.
