Key Override switches are provided to manually place the turnstile in one of three passage modes: Free Passage,
Controlled Passage, and No Passage. There is one key override switch per rotation direction. The key switches are
located on the underside of the of the turnstile adjacent to the head and arms [Figure 21].
1. Turn key to the LEFT position for Free Passage mode: Verify the arms rotate freely in the appropriate direction. If
you have User Notification Lights installed, verify the GREEN light is illuminated.
2. Turn key to the CENTER position for Controlled Passage mode: Verify the arms are locked in the appropriate
direction and unlock with valid credentials. If you have User Notification Lights installed, verify the YELLOW light is
illuminated until activation occurs, in which it turns GREEN.
3. Turn key to the RIGHT position for No Passage mode: Verify the arms are locked in the appropriate direction and
remain locked even if valid credentials are presented. If you have User Notification Lights installed, verify the RED
light is illuminated.
