6 Breakdown assistance
6.1 Towing
In order to tow away the vehicle, refer to the general recommendations given
in
Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Operating Instructions ( Breakdown assistance,
Towing or tow-starting ).
Before towing away the vehicle, follow these steps:
•
Depress the brake pedal.
•
Turn on the ignition: press start/stop button twice ( see section 4.1,
Starting the vehicle ).
•
Release the parking brake: pull switch ( see section 4.1, Starting
the vehicle ) and keep it pulled for 10s.
•
Turn off the ignition but keep the power supply on: press start/stop
button once.
NOTE The power supply must be turned on during towing of the vehicle. If the
power supply is off, the steering wheel will be locked.
