With
0% SOC
remaining, the battery reserve is used for driving. The power is
limited to 50%.
High voltage battery system failure
warning appears on the
Novus instrument display (
see section 5.2, Warnings
).
The battery reserve can be used for 10-15 km, then the maximum speed is
reduced to 50 km/h. After 5-7 km,
Low cell voltage
warning appears on the
Novus instrument display. The remaining range is then 1-2 km.
4.2 Charging
Starting the charging
1. Make sure the vehicle is turned off.
2. Open the charging port. (
see section 1.5
,
)
3. Plug-in the cable to the vehicle.
4. After charging starts, the state of charge appears in the Novus
instrument display (
see section 5.2, Charging
).
Important
Do not attempt to charge the 12V battery (or perform a jump start on it) at
the same time as the high-voltage batteries (ESS) are being charged.
Doing so may damage the vehicle or the charging equipment.
NOTE
•
Fast charging is possible (even several times a day) if the battery
temperature is low enough. If the battery temperature reaches its
limit, in order to protect the battery, fast charging is not allowed, and
the power limitation mode will be triggered.
•
Charging power can be limited due to different factors:
-
Selected lower power charging cable than 16A;
-
Battery temperature is high;
-
Battery temperature is too low;
-
Charger temperature is too high;
•
If electrical power is interrupted while charging, charging restarts
automatically when the electrical power is restored.
•
When the ambient temperature is 0°C or less, charging time may be
longer than normal.
