Playing DVD Audio/DVD Video/Video CD

Insert a disc with the label side facing up, toward the center part of the slot.
The disc will be pulled into the unit automatically. The playback will begin.
When a disc is already inserted, press
SOURCE/POWER to switch to the
DVD PLAYER mode.

To eject the disc, press on the main unit.
• If the disc does not eject, press and hold again for more than 3 seconds, the disc is ejected.
• The reverse side of a double-sided DVD will not be played automatically.
Remove the disc, turn it over, and reinsert it.
• DO NOT insert discs containing maps for the navigation system. Doing so could result in damage.
• “DISC ERROR” appears on the monitor display if a non-compatible disc is loaded, if the
disc is loaded upside-down or if the disc is scratched or dirty. Press on the main unit to
remove the disc.
• Also refer to “DVD setup” on page 66-73.
• There are DVD Audio discs that have bonus groups recorded on them. To play, a 4 digit PIN
number must be entered. For details on the PIN number, refer to the explanation on the
disc’s cover.
When viewing DVD Audio/DVD Video/Video CD, a monitor (sold separately) is required. If a
separately sold monitor other than the TMI-M990 is connected, the settings in “Changing the
picture output” on page 77 must be made.
