Defect Pixel editor: more details
Some reasons why you should use the editor:
•
Depending on the environment conditions where the camera is used, it
may happen that more defect pixels will occur. This depends on the
operation time of the camera/sensor. In that case you are able to add new
identified defect pixels to the list.
•
The Kodak defect pixel file, used as the factory setting, lists the whole
column as a defect column, although there may be only 10 or more defect
pixels in this column. In this case you can define the real defect pixels.
To edit defect pixels in
Edit sensor defects
dialog manually:
1.
Double-click defect pixel value or click
Add defect
.
Add defect
dialog opens.
2.
For a single defect pixel: Enter
X
and
Y
coordinates.
For adjacent defect pixels in a column: Enter
X
and
Y
for starting point and
End Y
for the last of the adjacent defect pixels in this column. The height
will be calculated automatically.
The defect pixels are stored non-volatile in the camera, when you click
Upload
in the
Edit sensor defects
dialog.
Where is the defect pixel correction done?
Defect pixel correction is done in the FPGA.
