Goldeye G/CL Technical Manual V4.1.1

The result is an excessively reduced dynamic range. These pixels are counted as
defect pixels.

The value of each defect pixel is replaced by an interpolated value from non-defect
neighboring pixels. This way, the image appears without disturbing bright or dark
pixels.
