Vertical binning
Vertical binning
increases
the
light
sensitivity
of
the
camera
by
a
factor
of
two
(4
or
8)
by
adding
together
the
values
of
two
(4
or
8)
adjoining
vertical
pixels
output
as
a
single
pixel.
This
is
done
directly
in
the
horizontal
shift
register
of
the
sensor.
Format_7 Mode_2
By
default
and
without
further
remapping
use
Format_7 Mode_2
for
2
×
vertical
binning.
This
reduces
vertical
resolution,
depending
on
the
model.
