AT-8024 and AT-8024GB Installation Guide

To initiate a management session on the AT-8024GB switches in a
subnet, you start it on the Master switch. After the session is
started, you will have management access to all the AT-8024GB
switches in the subnet.
G
For purposes of redundancy, it is a good idea to select a second
Master switch for each subnet and assign it a unique IP address as
well. In this way, should you need to remove one Master switch
from a subnet, the second Master switch will still be available for
you to manage your AT-8024GB switches.
Figure 16 illustrates the enhanced stacking feature. The network consists
of two subnets each with eight AT-8024GB Switches. Two switches in
each subnet have been assigned unique IP addresses to function as the
Master switches of their respective subnet.
