        Troubleshoot the Linking Device

2.

Move the jumper from its original position (two right pins) to the two
left pins.

3.

Wait 5 seconds.

4.

Move jumper back to its original position.

5.

Return power to the linking device.

Reset to Factory Default

The factory-default reset sets the linking device’s network configuration to use 
BOOTP, erases Web page password information, and clears all downloaded 
fieldbus configurations.

Follow these steps to complete a factory-default reset.

1.

Verify that the linking device is powered up and in a running state (H1 
status indicators are flashing).

WARNING: 

When you insert or remove the jumper while power is 

on, an electrical arc can occur. This could cause an explosion in 
hazardous location installations.

Be sure that power is removed or the area is nonhazardous before 
proceedings.
