7.1
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS: PREPARING THE MACHINE FOR MAINTENANCE AND
RELATIVE PRECAUTIONS
7.1.1
Preparing the machine for maintenance
ATTENTION:
♦
It is absolutely forbidden to perform maintenance, lubrication and repair operations while
the machine is running and/or receiving electrical current
♦
Failure to observe these precautions could lead to serious personal injury, or damage to
the machine or other objects.;
♦
The manufacturer bears no responsibility for failure to observe the warnings above.
The machine can be rendered safe by following the “Preparing for maintenance” procedures.
Preparing for maintenance
ATTENTION:
The preparation of the machine for maintenance and all maintenance operations are the
exclusive responsibility of the maintenance personnel, each for their own
specializations, as defined in the manual’s introduction (chapter 1):
♦
maintenance mechanics: personnel which has been trained and authorized for maintaining
the mechanical parts;
♦
maintenance electricians: personnel which has been trained and authorized for maintaining
electric and/or electronic parts and systems;
THE PERSONNEL ASSIGNED TO OPERATING THE MACHINE IS FORBIDDEN FROM
PERFORMING MAINTENANCE OPERATIONS.
The procedure requires the machine to be disconnected from its electrical energy supplies.
1) Disconnecting the electrical energy supplies:
- turn the ignition key (no.1 in fig. 7-1) to the off position and press the emergency stop button. The
ignition key must be removed from the control panel and kept by the person in charge of the
maintenance operations for the duration of the intervention;
- Remove the electrical plug (no.2) to disconnect the batteries.
