5.1
GENERAL INFORMATION - USES - ZONES
5.1.1
General safety information and warnings
ATTENTION: The machine has not been designed for use in explosive atmospheres.
Use in such atmospheres is therefore forbidden
Foreword
The purpose of this chapter is to inform the operators and the maintenance personnel about the risks
and dangers of the machine and about the general precautions and specifications which can be used
to eliminate or neutralize them.
This chapter contains information and instructions regarding:
- dangerous situations which may occur during the machine’s use and maintenance;
- protections, guards and safety devices which have been adopted and their proper use;
- residual risks and actions to be taken (general precautions and specifications to eliminate or limit
these risks).
This chapter provides detailed information and illustrations.
These instructions will be referred to in a concise manner in the rest of the manual where these
situations are described.
ATTENTION: The employer is obliged to inform the operators about the workplace
health and safety regulations in accordance with the current standards.

The personnel in charge of operating and maintaining the machine must wear proper work
clothing and any eventual personal safety gear (gloves, safety shoes, etc.) in conformity with
the current standards.

suitable for the operations to be performed;
resistant to the products used for cleaning.
NOTICE: Characteristics of clothing to be worn.
Observe the following indications when selecting the proper clothing to wear when operating
the machine:
The clothing must fit properly;
Keep loose hair covered, do not wear ties, necklaces or belts which could get tangled or caught
within the machine’s moving parts;
WARNING: When necessary, gather and cover long hair appropriately so as to avoid
getting them caught in the machine's moving parts.
