Wiring the Components
Probe
The recommended 3-wire cable is shown in Figure 2.
IMPORTANT: The Probe must lay flat on the
bottom of the tank to function properly. The
Probe must also be submerged in fluid for
proper calibration.
1. Lower the Probe’s sensor into the tank's bung opening.
• Make sure the sensor rests horizontally on the
bottom.
2. Screw the Probe’s bung adapter into the tank’s bung
fitting.
• Tighten the bung adapter securely.
3. Remove the Probe’s conduit cover to expose the wires.
IMPORTANT: Record the wire color rela-
tionship between the 3-wire cable and the
Probe’s wires. Make sure to follow this color
relationship for each Probe.
4. Attach the customer-supplied cable to the Probe’s
wires securely.
5. Secure the conduit cover to the Probe.
Controller
Probe Cable Connection
IMPORTANT: Match the colors of the Probe
wires to the color code below the terminal
block.
Attach each Probe’s cable wires to the Controller’s
terminal block starting at T1as illustrated in Figure 4.
Transformer
IMPORTANT: Make sure to connect the wire
with the white stripe to the positive terminal.
1. Attach the Transformer wires to the Controller’s
terminal block as illustrated in Figure 4.
2. Plug the Transformer into a 120 Vac power source.
• A green LED above the battery illuminates and
green LED’s above the Probe’s terminal block
illuminate in sequence for each Probe.
