6.5 WIND MEASUREMENTS:
The display shows the following wind measurements:

Wind force indication in Beaufort:
The actual wind force is indicated in the table in Beaufort (
BFT
).
Wind speed meter indication:
The indication of the wind speed meter starts turning when wind is being measured .
Wind Speed:
This shows the wind speed values.
Wind Direction:
The wind direction is indicated in the compass card. When the outdoor wind sensor is properly installed, the
wind direction may be activated as follows.
Press and hold the “MODE/SET” button for at least 1 second until 12Hr or 24Hr starts flashing. Now press
the “MODE/SET” button 14 times until the compass card starts flashing. Press the

or
▼
button once (the
setup menu closes after 15 seconds without pressing any button).
However, if the post is not properly facing the North, you may use the
▲
and
▼
buttons to adjust the
position of the post. If the post is facing the East, the pointer must be set to the East (the setup menu
closes after 15 seconds without pressing any button). The correct wind direction must now be entered.
Wind Gust:
This shows the maximum speeds of wind gusts.
Wind Chill:
On cold days and windy days it’s not the temperature that makes it cold, but the combination of the amount
of wind and the temperature. When the outdoor temperature falls below 10°C and the wind speed is above
4.8 Km/h, the wind chill is indicated. The display shows “
--.- 0C
” outside this value.
Outdoor:
This shows the minimum and maximum temperature of the last 24 hours. These tempera-
tures are shown alternately.
