5. Check that the end of the spark plug (47) is not blackened by carbon build
up. Clean with a soft wire brush if necessary.
6. Measure the plug gap with a feeler gauge. Correct as necessary by bending
the side electrode. The gap should be 0.7- 0.8mm. (Fig. T5)
7. Thread the spark plug (47) in by hand to prevent cross-threading.
8. Once the spark plug (47) is seated, tighten with the assembled spark plug
spanner to compress the washer.
NOTE:
When installing a new spark plug, tighten 1/2 turn after the spark
plug seats to compress the washer.
9. Re-position the spark plug cover (13). ENSURE the cable to the cover is in the
TOP position and is clear of the carburettor rod.
CAUTION: The spark plug (47) must be securely tightened. An
improperly tightened spark plug (47) can become very hot and
may damage the engine.
Replacement spark plugs are available for purchase from https://help.tools/ or
from lawn mower or small engine repair shops.

Deck Wash
The deck wash feature allows you to wash/clean the underside of the lawn
mower deck using a standard garden hose fitting or the supplied standard
hose fitting (41). (Fig. U1)
WARNING: Stop the engine and unplug the spark plug (47) before
undertaking any repairs or maintenance operations.
WARNING.
Do not wash your lawnmower with the battery inserted.
Please store your battery in a dry safe place. Always store your
battery in a safe location and never leave outside.
