Raclette

•  You can prepare the Swiss specialty Raclette for up to 8 persons with this appliance.
•  The preparation of Raclette is easy and has a great variety. You can combine almost any ingredients you like.
•  Typical Raclette ingredients are small corn cobs, pineapple, champignons, onions, small asparagus, ham,

salami and so on.

•  You also can fry sausages or meat in small pieces on the grill plate (1).
•  Only use cheese suitable for Raclette or special Raclette cheese. Ask your grocer for advice.
•  Suitable cheese for Raclette is Raclette cheese, Emmental cheese, Gouda or Edam cheese.

•  Note:

Do not use cheese that melts slowly.

•  For Raclette, you will need approximately 250 grams of cheese per person.
•  Traditionally there would be potatoes in the skin as side dish. You might also use some bread or other side

dishes.

Melting cheese

•  Place some ingredients in the pans (9) and cover it with one or two slices of cheese. Place the pans in the

appliance and set a low temperature for the cheese to melt slowly and prevent it from burning.

•  When bubbles build up in the cheese, it is ready for eating.

Grilling meat

•  Cut meat or sausages into small pieces or slices. Rub a little salt onto the meat.
•  Thinly grease the grill plate (1) with suitable cooking oil.
•  Set a high temperature to grill meat.
•  Place the meat on the grill plate (1).
•  Turn around the meat with the wooden scrapers (10).
•  Remove the meat from the grilling surfaces when it has been grilled to your taste.
•  Set a lower temperature, if you want to melt cheese in the meantime.
•

Note

: grill small or thin meat pieces only. Do not grill ingredients that might burn easily.

CLEANING AND CARE

•  Disconnect the power plug (3) from the wall outlet and let the appliance cool completely.
