5. AUTOMATIC OPERATION (cont’d)
5.2.8. PAPER PRESSURE ADJUST
The Paper Pressure Adjust lever controls the amount of resistance applied to the stack of paper in the
feeder tray to keep more than one sheet from being drawn from the tray and entering the lamination
area.
Upwards = more resistance to multiple sheets being drawn from the tray
Downwards = less resistance to multiple sheets being drawn from the tray
PROCEDURE:
1.
Remove the Paper Pressure Adjust lever from its current slot and adjust the amount of pressure
as follows:
a.
If too many sheets are being fed at once adjust the lever
upwards
.
b.
If sheets are slow to enter, or will not enter at all (to the point that “LAMINATION
ERROR”, or other similar errors occur) adjust the lever
downward
.
2.
Place the lever in the correct slot.
HINT:
If sheets are not being pulled off the tray completely adjust the lever downward. If more than
one sheet is drawn in consistently, move the lever upwards.
It is recommended to try one slot at a time until the optimal placement is found.
HINT:
When “Lamination Error” and “Feeder Error” appear frequently adjust this lever downward
slightly (in 1/8” increments).
