Troubleshooting guide
If you still have problems after installing your HD DTT adapter
despite the indications of the quick start-up guide and the details
provided in the user manual, you may find the following information
useful:
1. Problem:
You can receive analogue channels clearly but no
digital channels.
Cause:
Your area may not have digital terrestrial coverage yet
Solution:
Wait until your area receives DTT coverage. In France,
visit the website
for further information. Please note that
the slightest disruption of DTT reception conditions can cause a
total loss of the digital signal.
2. Problem:
In a single-family house, you can receive analogue
channels clearly but no digital channels.
Cause:
Your aerial is pointed at an analogue transmitter and the
digital channels are transmitted from another transmitter.
Solution:
Change the orientation of your aerial.
3. Problem:
In an apartment, you can receive analogue channels
clearly but no digital channels.
Cause:
Your collective aerial system has not been adapted to
receive digital terrestrial TV, or else your building only receives
cable.
Solution:
Talk to your landlord or owners' association about having
the aerial replaced. Otherwise, try using an indoor aerial (e.g.: a
UHF dish antenna with 36 dB amplification). If your building only
receives cable, contact your cable operator to obtain a cable DTT
decoder, or else try the indoor aerial solution.
4. Problem:
You can receive some channels, but none of the
channels after 60, or only with interference.
Cause:
Your aerial is cutting off the top of the UHF band. Analogue
reception of these channels wasn't good either.
Solution:
Get an aerial with high performance in the entire UHF
band, or else contact your landlord or owners' association.
5. Problem:
Your digital picture is fuzzy or cloudy.
Cause:
Your aerial connection is not right for your tuner connection
or is not connected properly.
Solution:
Use an IEC-standard aerial cable with a diameter of 9.5
mm. Check that the aerial plug is properly connected to the tuner.
