Make sure that the clock of the system is set to the preset time before
programming. (Refer to “Setting the clock”)

Setting an alarm

Use this function to start VCD playback or TUNER reception
automatically. This function can also be used to wake yourself
up in the morning.

1. Press the CLOCK button, the display window will display

“ALA SET”  or “SLE SET”; When appearing ALA SET, press
the ENTER, the time display will appear on the display window.

2. “AM” or “PM” flashes, press the SET button to select. Then press

the ENTER button, the hour display flashes.

3. Press the SET button to set the hour, then press the ENTER

button, the minute display flashes.

4. Press the SET button to set the minute, then press the ENTER

button to complete the time set.

5. “ALA OFF” flashes, press the SET button to switch ON or OFF.

When displaying “ON”, the function will be active. Then press the
ENTER button to confirm, the “AUTO” indicator lights up.

6. Press the “

 STANDBY/ON” button

on the unit or the “ 

 ” button on the

remote control to turn the unit off to
standby mode.

– The unit will turn on automatically at the set time.
– Follow the above steps 1~5, select “ALA OFF” in step 5 to

cancel the Alarm function.

Sleep timer

The Sleep timer function can be used to turn the system off
automatically at a set time.

1. Press the CLOCK button, the display window will display

ALA SET or SLE SET; When appearing “SLE SET”, press the
ENTER, the time display will appear on the display window.

2. Press the SET button to set the Auto Off time in sequence:

 30 

 45 

 60 

 75 

 90 

 120 

00 ...

The “SLEEP” indicator lights up.

– The unit will turn off automatically at the set time and go to

the standby mode.

– To cancel the Sleep timer, set the time to 00.

Station Tuning

Stations can be tuned manually or automatically and then memorized if
desired. Tuned stations can also be assigned channel numbers and
station names. Once memorized,
stations can be easily tuned by selecting the channel number.
Up to 40 stations can be memorialized: (FM20, AM20)

Manual/Auto tuning

1. Press the BAND button to select the band (FM/AM).

Manual tuning: 

Pressing the  - button repeatedly

to scan and tune, you can tune in the frequency of the station
you wish to listen to.

Auto tuning: 

Press and hold down the  - button

(for at least 1 second) , then release it ,and start auto tuning.

– Press the  - button to stop scanning anytime.
– If the receiving signal is weak ,advise to tune in by Manual

tuning ,which can tuned in more stations than by Auto tuning.

Preset memory

1. Press the BAND button to select the band (FM/AM).
2. Use the  - button to tune in the station you wish to

store into preset memory, then press the MEMORY button.

3. Select the desired preset number (FM1-20, AM1-20) with the

- C button.

Station selection

1. Press the BAND button to select the band (FM/AM).
2. Select the memorized station with the - C button.

Stereo/Mono switching

If the amount of noise in a FM stereo broadcast
you are listening to becomes bothersome, Press
the ST/MONO button to put the unit into mono mode.
– The STEREO indicator on the display goes out and the audio

switches to mono, which reduces the amount of noise received.

– To end mono mode, press this button again.
