Setting the timer with
ShowView system
You can greatly simplify timer recordings with ShowView
system. Just enter the ShowView Code, a number assigned
to each TV program, and the VCR will set the timer
recording automatically. You can find ShowView Code in
most TV guide magazines.
You can set up to 7 programs.

Before setting the timer
• Turn on the VCR and TV and set the TV for VCR
reception.
- Press TV/VCR to display “VCR” in the display window.
• Check that the VCR clock is set correctly.
• Insert a cassette with its erasure prevention tab in place.
Make sure the tape is longer than the recording time.
• To set the timer for a satellite, cable TV or PAY-TV
channel, check that the satellite (or cable) receiver or PAY-
TV decoder is turned on and the channel you want to
record is selected.
Press SHOW VIEW.
Press i+ or k- to select the recording type.

A single program ONCE
Daily program from Monday to Friday DAILY
Weekly program such as every Monday WEEKLY
To stop, pause or turn off the power while
recording
Press s STOP on the remote, Z STOP/EJECT on the
VCR, a PAUSE/STILL or POWER.
To extend the recording duration while
recording
Press w REC/OTR repeatedly until the new duration you
want appears in the display window and on the TV screen.
Note
During One-Touch Recording, when the tape reaches the end,
“TIMER” flashes in the display window.
