THEFT PROTECTION
(Retractable Front Panel)
When your car’s ignition switch is turned off, the front
panel will be retracted automatically as if there were no
car audio in the console.
When the ignition switch is set to the ACC or ON
position, the front panel will appear automatically.
Note
Do not touch and put excessive pressure on the front
panel while it is rotating.
You can also detach the upper part of the panel while the
front panel appears.
Take the front panel with you when leaving the car, and
keep it in the supplied carrying case.
Detaching the front panel
Before detaching the front panel, remove the CD to
prevent possible damage to the unit.

Press

to remove the CD.

Press the panel upward to close it.

Press and hold PWR/ATT until the unit turns off.
4
Press RELEASE. (Hold the panel with one hand to
prevent accidentally dropping it.)

Remove the panel.

Resetting the unit
Before operating the unit for the first time or after
replacing the car battery, you must reset the unit.
Press the reset button with a pointed object such as a
pencil.

Pressing the reset button will erase the clock and some
memorized functions.
DEMO (Demonstration) mode
The unit has an extra display (DEMO) mode which
demonstrates the illumination modes of the unit. The
unit switches to DEMO mode automatically if you turn
the unit on and leave it as it is for 5 seconds after all the
connections have been completed.
To cancel DEMO mode

Press and hold SRC (SOURCE) until “CONT.”
appears on the display.

to select “OFF”.
To resume DEMO mode, select “ON” in step 3.
