Self Test Operation (flow chart procedure) :
a. Activate the Self Test Mode by using the J1 jumper or the special R/C settings.
b. The real time statuses of the jumpers J2-J8 are immediately indicated by the corresponding
LEDs shown in the table. If the Pseudo Hardware (PHW) Jumpers are disabled, the LEDs/
Relay are turned on when the corresponding jumpers are connected (i.e. the inputs to the
MCU is “0”).
If the PHW Jumpers are enabled, their settings will be displayed instead.
The LEDs/Relay are turned on when the corresponding PHW Jumpers in EEPROM Addr-
14H is active (i.e. the bit is “1”).

At the same time, step motors go to home position. Press MODE/TEMP[-] button to turn off
all LEDs and proceed to Auto LED walk test, sect 16.4.4.
Note
: The TEMP(-) button is used in the PR model. The MODE button (on the A/C or on the
ICOM) is used in other models.
c. Auto LED walk test :
LEDs will be turned ON one by one with a 1 sec separation alternatively until all LEDs had
been turn on once. The sequence for all models except PR is as below:
SB

TIMER
FILTER
COOL
HEAT
The sequence for PRX model is as below:

d. Auto Relay walk test:
The Relays will be turned ON one by one with a 1 sec separation alternatively until all relays
has been turn ON once and IF speed is high.
The sequence is as in the following:
COMP
OF
RV
HE1
HE2
ICP

When the Relay walk test is completed, the MCU goes to next test (sect 16.4.6)
automatically.
Note:
During the walk tests, press the MODE/TEMP[-] switch once to turn off the current LED/
relay and move on to the next LED/relay without the 1 sec delay.
e. Zero crossing timing test, IR Test and Button Switch Test
If Zero crossing timing is within 90 Hz to 132 Hz, the Cool LED will be turned off. Otherwise
the Cool LED will be turned ON to indicate there is an error.
After the relay walk test and before the MODE/TEMP[-] button is pressed to proceed to next
test, it is time to test the local TACT switches and IR receiver. At this moment, the buzzer is
activated if any data from the IR Remote controller, or if any TACT switch is pressed.
Press MODE/TEMP[-] button to turn off all LEDs and proceed to next test, sect 16.4.7.
