Instruction manual for owner’s use

Please read this manual carefully before using the
device. Adherence to safety rules, use in accordance
with the operating manual and proper maintenance
are essential for safe and effective work.
1. PREFATORY NOTES
Buying your Airpress stapler, you have become the
owner of a machine with a high performance and reli
-
ability level. Correct use and regular maintenance will
increase the life of the stapler. In this manual you will
find operation and maintenance instructions. Read it
carefully and keep it as a guide to your stapler.
2. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
• To prevent injuries to yourself and bystanders, re
-
fer to tool use, maintenance and troubleshooting
sections for additional information. (1)
• To prevent injuries always wear safety glasses
with hard plastic side shields. Be sure everyone in
your work area is wearing the same type of safety
glasses.(2)
• Always wear hearing protection and a hard hat. (3)
• Never use hydrogen, oxygen, carbondioxide or any
other bottled gas as a power source for this tool;
the tool will explode and cause serious injury. (4)
• Remove finger from trigger when not driving fas
-
teners. Never carry tool with finger on the trig
-
ger, because tool will eject fastener if safety is
bumped.
• Never connect tool to an air hose with pressure
that exceeds values mentioned in technical details
table.
• Air compressors must comply with the require
-
ments of applicable european directives. (5)
• Air hose minimum working pressure rating of
150% of the maximum pressure produced in the
system is absolutely necessary. (6)
• The tool and air supply hose must have a hose cou
-
pling such that all pressure is removed from the tool
when the coupling joint is disconnected. (7)
• Use only conditioned compressed air, filtered, re
-
duced and lubrified air. (8)
• Never load fastener when tool is connected to air
supply. (9)
• Never use tool if safety element, trigger or springs
have become inoperative, missing or damaged. It
is hazardous to remove safety element, trigger or
spring. (10)
• Before using this tool, make sure trigger, screw and
cap are securely tightened.(11)
• Disconnect the tool from the air after using it.
• Keep the tool pointed away from yourself and oth
-
ers. (12)
• Fire fasteners into work surface only, never into
materials which are to hard to penetrate.(13)
• Do not fire fasteners on top of other fasteners. Tool
fired in an inclined angle is also forbidden. (14)
• Do not push safety element on work surface until
a second fastener is desired.(13)
• Do not fire fasteners close to the edge of the work
surface. The workpiece is likely to split and the fas
-
tener could fly free and hit someone. (14)
• Do not load fasteners with trigger or safety ele
-
ment depressed. (15)
• Do not use tool without danger label on tool.
• Never use a tool that leaks air or needs repair. (16)
• Be sure you are in a balanced position when using
or handling the tool. (17)
• Operate tool only at recommanded pressure men
-
tioned in technical details table.
• The tool emits vibrations while at work. Use pro
-
tective work-gloves to reduce the impact and pro
-
tect your arm. Take breaks regularly and whenever
your arms are tired.
3. TOOL USE
• Read “Safety warnings” before using the tool. (1)
• Keep the tool pointed away from yourself and oth
-
ers and connect air to tool.(12)
• Push click lever and slide upper magazine to open
it. (18)
• Place strip of fasteners into magazine. Do not load
when the trigger is depressed. (19)
• Push upper magazine back until click lever latches.
(20)
• Position safely against work surface and pull the
trigger. (13)
• Disconnect the air supply in case the fastener is
jammed. (12)
• Push click lever and slide upper magazine to open
it. Remove the fasteners.(18)
• Remove the jammed fastener. (21)
• Keep the tool pointed away from yourself and oth
-
ers and connect the air to the tool. (12)
• Place strip of fasteners into the magazine with
points resting on fastener guide. Do not load with
trigger depressed. (19)
• Push upper magazine back untill click lever latch

4. MAINTENANCE
• Read section “Safety warnings” before maintaining
the tool.
• Make sure all screws are kept tight, otherwise un
-
safe operation and parts breakage might occur.
