different characteristics from anything you have flown or trained with. Ensure that you
allow adequate space for the landing approach.
When flying always wear helmet and gloves, as well as suitable shoes and clothing.
Always make sure that the wind direction and speed as well the general meteorological
situations are within the pilot’s capabilities and favour safe flight.
Please read this manual carefully and thoroughly.
IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTICE

Construction, Pilot profile
The SuSi range comes in various sizes from 14m² to 20m². All sizes are load- and shock tested
according to EN 926-1. Size 18 is also type-tested within LTF/EN-D and size 20 is type-tested
LTF/EN-C.
Also the light-weight version – “Peter Habeler edition” from the SuSi is load- and shock
tested. Size 18 is also type-tested within LTF/EN-D.
Certification of SuSi:
Although the Susi 18 and 20 sizes are certified we don't believe that this certification category
is equivalent to that of a standard-sized wing. The 18 and 20 are fulfilling the LFT/EN norm but
these certification standards were not formulated to deal with 'special' cases. Mini wings are
special, with high internal pressure and higher dynamics than standard sized paragliders.
During the certification processes certain manoeuvres are tested and the resulting recovery
ranked, but not the gliders characteristic's or the pilots profile.
We used folding lines (collapse lines) to certify these sizes. Folding lines are attached in front of
the standard A-line connection tabs. Making collapses with the normal line configuration is
very difficult due to the extremely high collapse resistance of mini wings. The folding lines are
used to get a collapse to the required angle of collapse which is defined by the norm. Collapses
induced with folding lines do not necessarily reflect the same behaviour as the glider will show
in normal flight.
By the purchase of this equipment, you are responsible for being a certified paraglider pilot and you
accept all risks inherent with paragliding activities including injury and death.
Improper use or misuse of paragliding equipment greatly increases these risks.
Neither Airdesign nor the seller of Airdesign equipment shall be held liable for personal or third
party injuries or damages under any circumstances.
If any aspect of the use of our equipment remains unclear, please contact your local
paragliding instructor, Airdesign dealer or the Airdesign importer in your country.
