APE1553-1/2(-DS) Hardware Manual

Connectors:

DSUB9 Frontpanel-Connector

MIL-Bus:

MIL-STD-1553 isolated, transformer or direct coupled
stub connections.

Emulates a 70 Ohm transformer coupled network

stub if programmed accordingly.

HD-DSUB26 Frontpanel-Connector

Trigger In: TTL-Input, 1.5 k Pulldown and 220pF EMV

capacitor. Rising Edge sensitive, Pulse width > 75ns

Trigger Out: TTL-Output with 82 Ohm series resistor, 220pF

EMV capacitor, High Pulse width strobe, 500ns

duration.

IRIG-IN:

AC-coupled buffered Input app. 10kOhm, 220pf EMV
capacitor. 0,5 to 5.0 Vpp input voltage

IRIG-OUT:

Please note:

When the default 5V for the discrete outputs are not used, provide

a serial resistor in line with the open collector transistor. If using a

discrete pin as input, make sure that the output mode is set to

default before connecting an external voltage.

Otherwise the transistor can be damaged.

Board to Board Connector (B2B)

A 16-pin ribbon cable connector for the GPIO's and B2B-IRIG

(i.e. a Board to Board connection between multiple APE1553

boards inside a PC can be established for Board to Board I/O)

Discrete I/O: For Discrete I/O specification see above.
