Battery
Check state of charge of the battery every
100 h
Make sure that the ignition is switched off and that
no current consumers are running. Consumers
that are not permanently disconnected will cause
a gradual voltage drop.
Check the battery (A/19) with a voltage tester.
The voltage must be above 12.4 V. If the voltage
is too low, charge the battery and repeat the test.
If the battery does not retain sufficient charge alt-
hough it is not used, it must be replaced.
Observe the instructions of the battery manu-
facturer!
Special charger required!
Charging:
■ Remove the battery from the machine, for
this purpose, disconnect it starting at the neg-
ative terminal.
■ Connect the positive terminal of the battery to
the positive output of the charger, and like-
wise for the negative connection.
■ Switch on the charger only after you have
connected the battery.
■ Recommended charging current: 1/10 A of
battery capacity Ah.
■ For recharging use a charger with a constant
charging voltage of 14.4 V.
■ The battery is fully charged when the charg-
ing voltage has not increased in 2 hours.
