Remove the 

fan housing 

after every

operating hours or 

at least yearly

before the season. Clean the cooling fins on 
cylinder and cylinder head, and the deflector 
plates and the fan wheel that are necessary 
for air circulation.

Regularly check the exhaust system (C/9), gov-
ernor lever, linkage and governor springs for 
soiling and plant debris and clean with a brush or 
compressed air if necessary.

Replace damaged exhaust parts. 

Handle hot engine components with caution! 

Idle speed 

Always ensure that the engine idle speed is adjusted correctly. With speed regulat-
ing lever at idling, the engine should continue running smoothly.
