Thank You for purchasing a Junior Stand-Up Paddle Board (SUP) and we hope you have fun using your new purchase as much as we’ve enjoyed
developing and testing this Junior SUP.
Stand-Up Paddle Boarding, or in Hawaiian language, Hoe he’e nalu, is an emerging global sport with a Hawaiian heritage. The sport is an ancient form
of surfing that began as a method for surfing instructors to manage large groups of learner surfers. Standing on the board gave instructors a higher
viewpoint, increasing visibility of what was going on around them - such as an incoming swell or wave. In the early 1960s, The Beach Boys of Waikiki
would stand on their long boards and paddle out with outrigger paddles to take pictures of tourists learning to surf. This is where the term “Beach
Boy Surfing”, another name for Stand-Up Paddle Surfing, originates.
The sport provides an excellent Core Workout because it requires good core strength to balance and paddle on the board while standing on an
unstable water surface. SUP’ing can be done on oceans, lakes, and rivers. It is gaining in popularity as celebrities are practicing the sport, and
cross-over athletes are training with SUP’s. Many surfers have converted to SUP’ing because of the versatility of this new sport; it can be done
on days when there is surf (waves) or when there are no waves at all.
AGIT Global’s Junior SUP is designed for beginners to advanced SUP’ers alike. Our board dimensions provide good stability on water. The foam
construction of the board, with its 3 Stringer design is very strong yet light-weight and is easy to transport. There is a Built-In Handle near the center
of the topdeck to help carry the board. There is a Fin in the stern for added stability.
The Junior SUP also features our patented ‘Water Barrier Skin’ technology, a thin graphic film layer covering the board’s top deck, giving protection
from minor scratches, dents and abrasions. It helps keep the SUP looking clean and fresh.
The Paddle can easily be adjusted to accommodate the desired height of most riders. Typically, a rider needs a Paddle extending from the bottom of
their feet to 6-12 inches above their head.
Please read through the instruction manual to properly install the Fins and Leash. We hope you enjoy your new SUP but remember... Always Carefully
Examine Water Conditions in your area, making sure it is clear of Rocks, Reefs, Boats and other Inherent Water Hazards. We highly recommend
wearing only approved US Coast Guard Personal Flotation Devices (PFD) while SUP’ing. SUP’ing can be safer and loads fun when practicing with a
buddy.
ALOHA from the AGIT Global team!
