Examine the

28 and 32 peaks first. If they are below 20,000 to 30,000,
proceed to Step
. If not, check for gross leaks in the analyzer section of the
MSD (for example, whether the side door is closed fully or the vent valve is
open). If high 28
m/z
is seen, tighten QuickSwap onto the transfer line until
the peaks drop significantly.
