Calls and Testing for the Protocols

Incoming calls

There are two ways in which an incoming call can be
answered, depending on whether it is a Data or a Voice
Type call.

Data calls

Incoming data calls are answered automatically. If the
call is on the currently selected channel and no BER test
is in progress,

aurora

Duet

answers it automatically and

displays a

LOOP CONNECTED

screen.

Information displayed

•

Line 2 displays the bearer capability.

•

Line 4 displays the Called Party Number

(CPN)

•

Line 5 displays the Calling Line Identity

(CLID)

, if

contained within the incoming call setup.

If the incoming call is on a channel other than the one
currently selected, the

(channel selection) function key

flashes to alert you to the call.

To connect a BER test

Highlight

CONNECT BERT

and press

SELECT

aurora

Duet

displays the

BERT CONNECTED

screen for the relevant

bearer capability.
