*ESR
(Event Status Register)
The *ESR query returns the contents of the Standard Event Status Register .
When you read the Event Status Register , the value returned is the total
bit weights of all of the bits that are high at the time you read the byte .
T able 4-2 shows each bit in the Event Status Register and its bit weight.
Reading the register clears the Event Status Register .
Query Syntax: *ESR?
Returned F ormat: < status >< NL>
Where: < status > ::= 0 to 255 (integer{NR1 format)
Example: OUTPUT 720;\*ESR?"
