6.3 Function test

Verify that the probe is in clean ambient air (for example, room air, not pol-
luted by flue gas).
1. Fix the cooled probe in a suitable device (for example, a vise).
2. Connect the probe to the control unit via the connector.
3. Switch on the mains voltage via the on-site mains fuse.
- The display shows the number of switch-on cycles and the switch-on
duration.
- The display shows „"Heat-up phase" .
- The probe heats up.
- After approximately 60 seconds, the display shows the first measured
values.
- When the measured value displayed is approximately 21 % by volume,
breathe on the probe tip from a distance of approximately 10 cm
- When you breathe on it, the measured value is in a range from
15 ... 18 % by volume.
- If the value is not within this range, there is a malfunction.
4. Disconnect the probe from the control unit.
5. Allow the probe to cool down.
6. Screw the probe into the socket in the flue gas duct (see "Mounting the
probe").
7. Connect the probe to the control unit via the connector.
WARNING
HOT PROBE
The probe tip can reach temperatures of up to 700 °C.
•
Verify that the probe is disconnected from the control unit.
• Verify that the probe has been dismountedand cooled down.
• Verify that the probe cannot come into contact with flammable objects.
Failure to follow these instructions can result in death, serious injury or
equipment damage.
