As per EN 837, liquid-filled pressure gauges must have a blow-out device
(version S1, S2 or S3 as per EN 837-1).
Pressure gauges for oxygen and acetylene must be safety pressure gauges
(version S2 or S3 as per EN 837-1 or pressure gauges as per ISO 5171). All
wetted parts must comply with EN 29539 and must be free from oil and
grease. Only lubricants suitable for oxygen at maximum operating pressure
may be used. The pressure gauges must never be exposed to humidity.
Pressure gauges with glycerine filling must not be used for oxygen or other
oxidising process fluids. High-concentration fluorine liquids and chlorinated
liquids (for example, halocarbon) as filling liquid are suitable for such applica-
tions.
WARNING
ESCAPING MEDIUM
• Verify that you risk assessment includes all events and causes which may
provoke medium to escape.
• Verify that escaping medium can be safely collected and/or discharged.
• Verify that all pressurised parts and connections of the pressure gauge and
the measuring line are sealed and function correctly by using approved test
methods at regular intervals.
• Immediately replace damaged pressure gauges.
Failure to follow these instructions can result in serious injury or equip-
ment damage.
WARNING
ELECTROSTATIC CHARGE
The window of the product can be electrostatically charged as a result of friction.
Electrostatic charge can cause sparks and ignite an explosive atmosphere.
•
Avoid friction at the surface of the window.
• Do not dry-clean the product.
Failure to follow these instructions can result in serious injury or equip-
ment damage.
