7.4. Power supply
The S
COOPY
+ S is powered by rechargeable batteries or an external DC power adapter. The latter also
recharges the batteries when it is present.

The changeover from the external DC source to the batteries, or vice versa, is automatic and causes
no break in the operation.
7.4.1. DC power supply
The S
COOPY
+ S accepts an external 8V to 15V DC source. A suitable AC/DC adapter is provided with the
unit, and spare power adapters are available (see 7.8, Accessories and related products).
The unit includes overvoltage and overcurrent protection (resettable fuse).

options, the possible presence of batteries, and the operating mode.
Connection: 2.1 mm jack, with ground on the outer conductor.
7.4.2. Batteries
The unit can be powered by 6 type "C" or LR14 NiMH cells.
Only rechargeable NiMH batteries can be used, such as those provided by AETA as accessories (see
further, 7.8).
Make sure to observe the proper polarity when inserting the batteries.
The autonomy depends on the transmission network and the algorithm used. A battery indicator on the
display shows the remaining charge level. You can expect from 3 to 4 hours battery life with batteries in
good condition and fully charged.

It is strongly recommended to remove the batteries when you are not using the device for a long
time.

It is strongly discouraged to use batteries of poor quality, especially saline batteries. Such batteries
may leak and damage the S
