WIRING CONNECTIONS
The units are factory wired and for start-up they require the 230 V - 1 - 50
Hz power supply complete with line protections and command, that can
be given by a simple switch (see “Wiring diagrams”).
With connections to Aermec chillers, the MPO command (230 V 50 Hz) on
the chiller’s electronic card can be used.
All connections must respect local legislation in force at the time of unit
installation.
DRAINING THE PLANT
If the installation is shutdown during the winter period, the water in
the storage tank and the piping could freeze and thus damage the unit
beyond repair.
To avoid the danger of freezing there are three possibilities:
– completely drain all the water at the end of the season and refill at the
beginning of the next. A drain cock should be mounted on the piping
to drain the unit.
The lowest point of the tank has a drain coupling
fitted. There are also installed two valves, an air vent valve and
a discharge valve, positioned on the pump impellers (the pump
insulation can make them invisible).
– Operation with glycol mix, with a glycol percentage determined
according to the foreseen minimum ambient temperature.
– The use of electric heater on the water tank (accessory). In this case the
heater must be powered for the whole period when there is a risk of
freezing.
MAINTENANCE
For the unit to operate efficiently periodically control the strainer.
