Adjusting the Boiler Door – Horizontal Adjustment

1. Close the door and check that there is equal distance, on both sides, between the stop plate

of the door and the band surrounding the door opening.

With the door ajar, a

djust the vertical adjustment nut as required to increase or decrease the

distance the hinge joint projects into the door opening.

3. When satisfied with the adjustment, retighten the locking nut.

4. Check the proper adjustment in depth ensuring that the door, manually pushed up to the

stop plate naturally returns to the slightly ajar position. This is to ensure the hinge side door
seal.
