TSU 120 INTERFACES
The Network Interface (NI) port complies with the
applicable ANSI and AT&T standards.
Network Interface
The NI provides the following functions:
• AMI or B8ZS coding
• Automatic or manual line build out
• D4 or ESF framing
• Network performance monitoring and reporting
• Test loopbacks with QRSS generation and checking
• Extensive self test
DSX-1 (PBX) Interface
The DSX-1 interface provides the following functions:
• DSX-1 per ANSI T1.102
• AMI or B8ZS coding
• D4 or ESF framing (independent of network inter-
face)
• Adjustable line length up to 655 feet
• Test loopback
• Extensive self test
Nx56/64 Serial Interface
The Nx56/64 serial interface provides the following
functions:
• Data rates: Nx56k or Nx64k, where N = 1 to 24
(DS0s)
• Inverted data (inverted HDLC)
• A V.35 interface
• Standard V.35 Winchester connector
• Elastic stores for tail circuit applications
• Test loopbacks with 511 pattern generation and
check
• Extensive self test
