Chapter 3

Enabling Frame Relay

The Frame Relay upgrade for the ATLAS 800

PLUS

includes the following:

•

ATLAS Software Activation Request Fax Form

•

ATLAS Frame Relay User Manual

•

Alphanumeric temporary license key

The temporary license key enables the Frame Relay software for 30 continu-
ous days of operation. Within this 30-day period, you must fax the registra-
tion sheet to ADTRAN with the upgraded unit’s serial number. A unique,
permanent software key for the upgraded ATLAS is then faxed back to you.

If a permanent license key is not installed within 30 days, the Frame
Relay portion of ATLAS will cease operation.

If a temporary license key expires before the permanent license key is
installed, the system will reboot and all frame relay configuration
will be lost.
