Protocol/MPPP

The PPP provides a standard method for transporting multi-protocol 
datagrams over point-to-point links. It comprises a Link Control Pro-
tocol (LCP) for establishing, configuring, and testing the data-link 
connection and a family of Network Control Protocols (NCPs) for es-
tablishing and configuring the higher layer protocols. MPPP is an ex-
tension of Point-to-Point protocol (PPP). It provides a method for 
splitting, recombining, and sequencing datagrams across multiple 
logical data links. In the case of the ISU 512e, the eight ISDN bearer 
channels constitute the MPPP logical data links.

Max Config

This value is the number of unanswered configuration requests that 
should be transmitted before giving up on a call. The possible values 
are
