Please note that this unit is equipped with a polarized AC plug which has one
blade wider than the other. This is a safety feature to reduce the likelihood
of electric shock. This polarized AC plug will only fit in a polarized AC outlet.
If you find that you cannot insert this plug into your outlet, you may have an
obsolete non-polarized outlet. Please do not try to defeat this safety feature
by using a non-polarized adaptor or by filling the wider blade to make it fit into
your outlet. If this plug does not fit into your outlet, you should contact a quali-
fied licensed electrician to replace your obsolete outlet.
Starting-up the unit
• NON-STICK COATING
Lightly grease the baking surfaces before the unit is used for the first time.
Use the appliance for about 10 minutes with the cover closed (see “using
the unit”). Then wipe it down with a damp cloth.
• Please do not eat the first pieces of food you make with this unit.
Using the unit
1, Plug the power cord into 120V, 60Hz mains socket, then the red indicator
(POWER) will light up.
2, Keep the baking unit closed during the warming-up time. After the unit is
warmed up, the green indicator (READY) will light up and be ready to
cook.
3, Open the cover and place some waffle mix. Then close the lid gently. The
waffle will be fully baked after 5 to 7 minutes.
4, Open the lid and remove the slices of waffle with a wooden fork or similar
kitchen utensil. Do not use pointed or sharp objects to avoid damaging the
coating of the baking surfaces.
5, The baking section should always be closed in the intervals between
baking.
