SECTION 2: INSTALLING THE
VISTA 10
Installation Procedure
1. Install the Vista control panel in accordance with the safety instructions. A
keyhole slot is provided for the top fixing; it is not necessary to remove the
circuit board.
2. Fit and connect the main remote keypad, as shown in Figure 2.1 PCB
Connections.
Note: Data Out on the keypad connects to Data Out on the control panel;
Data In on the keypad connects to Data In on control panel.
3. Fit and connect mains power.
4. Close and secure the control lid.
5. The display should read:
TO TEST OPERATION OF THE PANEL:
Enter 1 2 3 4 + [OFF]. The keypad should give a confirmation beep.
Enter 1 2 3 4 + [AWAY] to arm control (After 30 seconds the system will
set.)
Enter 1 2 3 4 + [OFF] to disarm the system.
This confirms control and keypad are operating correctly.
6. Remove a.c. power before opening the control panel.
7. Connect the system wiring making reference to Figure 2.2; pay particular
attention to cable routing.
8. Connect battery, re-fit the enclosure lid and re-apply the a.c. mains power
supply.
9. Complete programming form and make necessary programme changes.
10. Test the system. Enter Engineer code + [TEST]. Observe correct operation
of sounders and strobes. Walk test the system, the keypads will audibly indicate
as each device is tested. To exit test mode enter engineer code + [OFF].
11. Fill in the user information in the users manual and hand over to the customer;
complete user training.
