–
Ensure that the power cord does not come into contact with hot
parts.
–
Never expose the scale to high temperatures (e.g. heat, direct
sunlight), moisture, humidity or external influences (e.g. rain).
–
Never fill the scale with liquid.
–
Never attempt to clean the scale by submerging it in water, and
do not use a steam cleaner to clean it. The scale may otherwise
get damaged.

Do not put the scale in a dishwasher. It would be destroyed as a
result.
–
Discontinue use of the scale if its plastic components have any
cracks, flaws or deformations. Only replace damaged compo-
nents with suitable original spare parts.
–
Store the scale in a dry, cool place.
Battery notes
WARNING!
Risk of injury!
Mishandling of the batteries may cause gas leakage, electrolyte
(battery fluid) leakage, fire or explosion.
–
Ensure the correct polarity when inserting the batteries.
–
If necessary, clean the battery and device contacts before insert-
ing the batteries.
–
Do not short circuit the batteries.
–
Do not re-charge the batteries. Attempting to charge non-re-
chargeable batteries can lead to overheating and cause a fire.
–
Store unpacked batteries in such a way that the battery contacts
do not touch in order to avoid short circuiting. Ideally, keep the
batteries in their original packaging.
