ADDAC SYSTEM
TRANSPOSE OPERATIONS
The ADDAC207 features 2 transposition methods:
INPUT TRANSPOSE
(Button 1 = C)
1v/Octave CV Input (0 to +5v range)
If Assigned, this CV input allows a positive 1v/octave
signal to transpose the channel’s input CV.
The Channels input CV is immediately transposed
while keeping it inside the selected scale.
Output will be equal to the Input CV + the Assign CV.
SCALE TRANSPOSE
(Button 11 = A#)
1v/Octave CV Input (0 to +5v range)
If Assigned, this CV input allows a positive 1v/octave
CV to be connected for external Scale Transposition.
Incoming CV is divided in 12 semitones for every 1v,
let’s assume X semitones. The scale is immediately
transposed offsetting the Root note by the same X
semitones.
In Scale Transpose mode the CV input voltage range is
not important by itself, meaning that +1v will result in
the same transposition as +3v which would be zero or
no transposition.
This operation is visible in the Scale Leds but it only
updates when receiving a new input on Channnel 1.
TRANSPOSE TUNE Setting (FIRMWARE M1 and above)
The Transpose Tune setting (defined by selecting
Button 4 in the TRIG.R. Menu is used to calibrate the
Assign 1v/oct CV input.
There’s only 2 options (On or Off)
If you play a C on your keyboard and the 207 outputs
a B then the Transpose Tune setting should be set to
On, otherwise set it to Off.
We calibrate this setting before shipping, please
change it only if you’re experiencing tuning issues
with your CV keyboard.
