To connect a second internal SCSI device, plug the middle
connector of the SCSI ribbon cable to the connector on the
second internal SCSI device, as shown in Figure 2-8.

To connect three or more internal SCSI devices to a SCSI bus,
obtain a 50-pin SCSI ribbon cable with enough connectors to
accommodate all of your internal SCSI devices.
Connecting External SCSI Devices
The external connector for SCSI Channel A uses a 50-pin
shielded cable with a high-density external connector. External
cable connectors are keyed and can only be plugged-in one way;
Pin 1 orientation is automatic.
To connect external SCSI devices:

Connect one end of the external cable to the host adapter
external connector, as shown in Figure 2-9.
