For medical researches the maximum permissible doses are taken from «International Basic Safety Standards
for protection against ionizing radiation and for the safety of radiation sources», «Safety Series

Atomic Energy Agency, 1994». The data on doses during flights are taken from the reports made by the «US Federal
Aviation Administration» (FAA), «National Research Center for Environment and Health» (GSF, Germany) or interpo-
lated from the mentioned sources. Typical doses for persons inspected by means of the System were calculated in a
special research using a phantom of the human body and several dosimeters placed in various parts of it.
