To change parity used with the serial interface, follow this procedure.

For a new parity setting, use the [MC]  key to cycle through the
following options:

Parity = None, 8 data bits and 1 stop bit.
E71
Parity = Even, 7 data bits and 1 stop bit.

Parity = Odd, 7 data bits and 1 stop bit.
