8.0 PARAMETER SET-UP
The parameter set-up menus allow the scale to be set as required by the user. It is
possible to calibrate the scale, enable specific units of weight (up to 13 units), select the
default unit of weight, control autozero, the RS-232 interface, digital filtering and set the
automatic turn-off time. The parameters are selected using the function menu. An
overview of the function menu is shown as Appendix A. The specific steps to set the
functions are described below.
To start the function menu:
1.
Press and hold the MODE key, meanwhile also press the ENTER/select key for 2
seconds then release the keys. The display will show CAL and enter to the
FUNCTION SELECTIONS.

Press the PCS/next key to choose the function desired.

The functions will change each time the PCS/next key is pressed. The functions
are:
CAL – InitU – Unit – A.Off – trn – rAtE – Filxx – Zerox – b2x – Acy – trACx – CAL- -
8.1 “CAL” Auto Calibration, Customised weight.
Select the CAL function by pressing the ENTER/select key.
Press the LIGHT/increment key and ENTER/select key to key in the mass weight which
you are going to calibrate (preferably 2/3 to full capacity). The default weight value is
initially shown.
On the last press of ENTER/select the display will show the weight entered with the
digits flashing. Now put this mass on the pan. When stable, the display will become
stable with the digits not flashing. The calibration is finished.
8.2 “InitU” To choose the initial unit while turning on:
Press the ENTER/select key to set the initial units.
Please press the UNITS key to choose the unit. Then press the ENTER/select key to
confirm and return to normal weighing or press the PCS/next key to continue to another
function mode.
